A chemical peel is a treatment that applies acids solution to the top layer of the skin to exfoliate, promoting cell regeneration and improving skin texture and tone. There are different types of chemical peel to treatment different skin concerns such as acne, fine lines and wrinkles and pigmentation.

- Ensure skin is well protected from the sun by using a sunscreen of SPF 50.

- Avoid excessive outdoor exercise 2 weeks prior treatment. If planning out door activities ensure you have physical protection (e.g. hat, long sleeves clothing, etc.) and sunscreen applied (SPF 50) and reapplication throughout the day. If sun burn have occurred to the area that will be treating on, please call or reschedule appointment.

- Avoid waxing and shaving 2 weeks prior treatment

- Stop using exfoliation and active skincare products 1 week prior treatment (AHA’s, BHA, PHA, Retinol, exfoliating scrubs, etc.)

- Always wear SPF 50 during the day

- Avoid any skin treatments 4 weeks prior treatment

- If using prescription medications (accutane, doxycycline) or prescription topical creams for treating acne or anti-ageing. Please call for instructions.

- Ensure to keep skin hydrated and moisturised

- Use active free skincare products for the next 7 days ( no retinols, AHA & BHA and exfoliating products)

- Keep your skin clean and hydrated

- Always wear SPF 50 during the daytime, also add in physical protection such as wearing a hat, etc.

- Avoid any skin treatments for the next 2 - 4 weeks

- Always moisturise the skin with a hydrating lotion/moisturiser
